The Quilt: A Breast Cancer Support Project

THE QUILT brings together a collection of over 400 quilts donated by quilters across Canada. 100% of the money raised through the sale of these quilts by auction in November in Stratford and Toronto, Canada goes directly to the Canadian Cancer Society office nearest the donor of the Quilt and is designated for Society funded support programs. Last year over $450,000 was Raised.
Each summer the Majority of the quilts are displayed in Stratford and Toronto (Casa Loma). There are two traveling shows - one in the West; one in eastern Canada. This year's Western show was held in Victoria at the La-Z-Boy Furniture Gallery - a stunning display of over 85 wall hangings and quilts.

Below are the quilts submitted for the 2003/4 auction and links to the information about each quilt submitted by Port Alberni. They raised a total of $1,445 for breast cancer research.
